Privacy notice

Last updated: 30 October 2026

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Independent Workforce Research and Evaluation (IWRE) is the trading name of Blessing Yawson, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Blessing Yawson, trading as IWRE, is the controller of personal information received through this website and the IWRE business email address.

Questions about this notice or requests about your personal information can be sent by email to hello@iwre.co.uk or by phone on 07367 454713.

2. What information does IWRE collect?

If you contact IWRE through the project enquiry form or by email, IWRE receives the information you provide. Through the form, this is your name, work email address, organisation, and optionally your sector, service of interest and preferred timescale, together with your description of the enquiry. Emails may also include your job title, signature details, attachments and the technical information that accompanies an email.

Please do not include employee records, health information, other sensitive personal information or confidential datasets in an initial enquiry.

3. How and why is the information used?

IWRE uses enquiry information to respond to you, discuss your requirements, assess whether the consultancy can help and, where requested, prepare a proposal. IWRE does not add enquirers to a marketing mailing list.

The lawful bases for this processing under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) are:

Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): responding to business enquiries and managing relationships with prospective clients. This is the usual basis where you contact IWRE on behalf of an organisation.
Contract (Article 6(1)(b)): where you contact IWRE in your own right to take steps towards entering into a contract.
Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): where information must be kept to meet legal requirements, such as tax and accounting records.

4. Who receives the information?

IWRE uses the following service providers, which process personal information on its behalf:

Netlify hosts this website and processes and stores enquiry form submissions. Netlify may also process technical request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure the website.
IONOS provides IWRE’s business email service. Messages sent to hello@iwre.co.uk, and any form notifications sent to that address, are stored in this mailbox.

IWRE may also share information with professional advisers or public authorities where this is necessary and lawful. IWRE does not sell personal information.

5. International transfers

Some service providers may process personal information outside the UK. Netlify, for example, is based in the United States. Where a restricted transfer takes place, IWRE relies on an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or the contractual safeguards included in the provider’s data processing terms. You can contact IWRE for further information.

6. Security

Within IWRE, access to enquiry submissions and business correspondence is limited to the business operator. Email is not a suitable channel for sending sensitive research data; any project data is shared only under arrangements agreed in advance.

7. How long is information kept?

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to 12 months from the last contact and are deleted sooner once they are no longer needed. Information is kept for longer only where this is necessary to meet a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Form submissions stored by Netlify and messages in the IWRE mailbox are not deleted automatically. IWRE reviews and deletes them manually in line with this retention period.

If an enquiry leads to an engagement, the relevant records are kept in line with the contract, accounting requirements and any project-specific retention arrangements.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access your personal information and, depending on the circumstances, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to it.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@iwre.co.uk or call 07367 454713. IWRE will respond within one month, as required by law.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Client research projects

This notice covers website use and initial enquiries only. Research carried out for clients may involve different personal information, such as employee survey or interview data, and is not covered by this notice.

Before any client project involving personal information begins, IWRE and the client agree each party’s data protection role (for example, controller or processor), the lawful basis, security and retention arrangements and a written data processing agreement where required. Separate privacy information is provided to research participants. Where a project involves special category data, the additional conditions required by UK GDPR are identified before any data is collected.

10. Cookies and analytics

IWRE has not installed analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website. Netlify may process technical data needed to deliver the website and protect the enquiry form from spam. If analytics or other non-essential technologies are introduced, this notice will be updated and consent will be requested where required.

11. Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated to reflect changes to IWRE’s services, suppliers or legal requirements. The date at the top of this notice shows when it was last revised.
